Luxury Camping Safaris
A private luxury camping safari delivers the best of Tanzania. Whether walking or in our custom-built, four-wheel drive vehicles, you'll follow and photograph the game wherever it might be - from cheetah on the plains to elephants deep in the forest. Schedules are flexible. You're never restricted to lodge mealtimes, and you won't travel with hoards of other people.

Our camping safaris are traditional, meaning under canvas, and in which our camp and crew travel with us from area to area. Our staff of over ten includes a chef, Hendric, whose delicious meals food critic Florence Fabricant praised in the New York Times, and his assistant, waiters, tent attendants, drivers and a mechanic. They move with the equipment vehicles, attending to all the details of breaking and setting up our camp at each new location. They also handle meals, baggage, laundry, and tent service. It doesn't take long before each campsite feels like home.

Often, the distances between campsites means staying in a lodge for one night every four or five days. This allows the staff time to move the camp. After a lodge stay, clients are keen to return to the privacy of his or her private camp the next evening. We resume the familiar routine with your crew, who've now become old friends. Sometimes, these moves are completed in a day, and a lodge stay is not necessary. We leave camp early at dawn or after breakfast, take a picnic lunch, and arrive for a late dinner at our new location.

All campsites are scenic and determined by location of the game during that specific time of year. Often you'll view game from your tent veranda. All our campsites are completely private.
